Wolfram to Organize Wolfram Technology Conference 2018 in Champaign from Oct. 16-19

Wolfram, a Champaign-based developer of computational technology, will organize Wolfram Technology Conference 2018 at its headquarters in Champaign, in Illinois from October 16 to 19, 2018.

 

The four-day long program will provide participants to meet Wolfram developers and employees face-to-face and get practical training to acquire new skills and build the extant ones, presentations and workshops given by Wolfram developers and speakers, and meeting, networking, brainstorming, during meet-ups, roundtables, coffee breaks, and special functions.

 

The Day 1 program, on October 16, will have pre-conference training and events. Four training sessions are scheduled during the opening day. The first two are –Multiparadigm Data Science Workflow; l and Wolfram Language Crash Course for Scientists & Engineers from 8am to 12pm. The second two training sessions are – The Data Science Pipeline: Analysis to Insight; and Learn Image Processing with the Wolfram Language from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

 

Optional Wolfram Research tour is scheduled at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. The registration opens at 3pm and Stephen Wolfram's Opening Keynote is scheduled from 5pm to 7pm.

 

The Day 2 program, on October 17, has talks, hands-on workshops scheduled from 9am–12pm, lunch/roundtable discussions from 11:30am–1pm, talks, hands-on workshops, similar-interest group "meet-ups" from 12:30–6pm, and an optional offsite networking dinner from 6–9pm.

 

The Day 3 program, on October 18, has talks, hands-on workshops scheduled from 9am–12pm, lunch/roundtable discussions from 11:30am–1pm, talks, hands-on workshops, similar-interest group "meet-ups" from 12:30–6pm, a cocktail hour from 6–7pm, and Keynote dinner & Innovator Award ceremony from 7–9pm.

 

The Day 4 program, on October 19, has talks, hands-on workshops scheduled from 9am–12pm, lunch/roundtable discussions from 11:30am–1pm, talks, hands-on workshops, similar-interest group "meet-ups" from 12:30–6pm, and an optional offsite networking dinner from 6–9pm.

 

Some of the highlights of the event are:

 

Wolfram Language Coding Competitions: Here participants will compete with other coders, developers and programmers in the Livecoding Championship. An One-Liner Competition will also be held.

 

Wolfram Innovator Awards: Here Wolfram will recognize and award the individuals and organizations who have played a key role in the areas of computing where Wolfram operates its technologies.
